Products

What is a gilda?

A Basque pintxo made of a pickled chilli, an olive and an anchovy on a cocktail stick. It's one of the classic Spanish bar snacks.

What is mojama?

Salted, air-cured tuna loin, traditional on the coasts of Andalusia and eastern Spain. It's eaten thinly sliced with a drizzle of olive oil and almonds.

How should I store olives once opened?

In the fridge, always covered in their brine or dressing, so they keep their texture and flavour. Follow the date and instructions on the label.

And anchovies and mojama?

In the fridge, between 0 and 5 °C. Anchovies should always be covered in oil. Once opened, wrap mojama or cover it with oil so it doesn't dry out.

Where can I see ingredients and allergens?

On each product page at salazonarte.com. At the stall, ask any of our team or scan the QR code on the counter. Many of our products contain fish, and some contain sulphites or lupin: always check the product page if you have an allergy.

Has the raw, salted or marinated fish been frozen?

Yes. All our fish has been frozen beforehand to eliminate the risk of anisakis, as required by Spanish Royal Decree 1021/2022. It is safe to eat raw, salted, marinated or pickled.
