Terms of service

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who is the seller

These General Terms govern purchases on salazonarte.com (the «Shop»), owned by Alejandro Navarro Sánchez, trading as SalazonArte («SalazonArte»), tax ID (NIF) 18440335Q, located in Valencia's Central Market (Mercado Central), stalls 88 and 105 to 109, Plaza Ciudad de Brujas s/n, 46001 Valencia, Spain. Contact: info@salazonarte.com · +34 640 29 92 51 (phone and WhatsApp).

2. Acceptance and scope

By placing an order you accept the version of these Terms published at that time, together with the Returns policy, the Privacy policy and the Legal notice. You can save or print them before buying.

The Shop is intended for people aged 18 or over, as it sells alcoholic drinks. By buying you confirm you are of legal age. These Terms apply to consumer purchases; orders from restaurants and businesses may be subject to specific terms agreed in writing.

3. Products

Product descriptions, photos and weights are for guidance. As artisan, natural products, there may be reasonable variations in appearance, colour, size or piece size compared with the images, which do not amount to a lack of conformity.

Ingredients, allergens and storage instructions are shown on each product page and label. Many of our products are perishable or need refrigeration: follow the storage instructions from the moment you receive them. All fish we sell to be eaten raw, salted, marinated or pickled has been frozen beforehand, as required by Spanish Royal Decree 1021/2022.

4. Prices

Prices are in euros and include VAT. Delivery charges are not included: they are shown before you complete your purchase, depending on destination and order value (see our delivery rates).

If, due to an obvious technical or typographical error, a product is shown at a clearly wrong price, we will let you know before shipping and you can choose to keep the order at the correct price or cancel it with a full refund.

5. How to order

  1. Add products to your basket.
  2. Enter your details and choose home delivery or collection at the stall.
  3. Review the summary with the total price, delivery charges and these Terms; you can correct any details before paying.
  4. Confirm your order and pay.

You will receive an order confirmation email. The contract is concluded when SalazonArte accepts the order, which happens when it is shipped or when you are notified that it is ready for collection. If a product is unavailable, we will let you know and refund it without delay. The contract language is Spanish; we keep your order on file and you can access it from your account or by asking us by email.

6. Payment

Payment is made when you place the order, using the methods available at checkout. Payments are processed by secure payment gateways; SalazonArte does not access your full card details. If you notice an unauthorised charge, let us know as soon as possible at info@salazonarte.com. We may cancel orders whose payment is declined or shows clear signs of fraud, and will inform you if we do.

7. Delivery and collection

Destinations: mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands, mainland Portugal and the EU countries listed in our delivery rates. We do not deliver to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla.

Delivery times: in mainland Spain, delivery usually takes 1 to 2 working days from dispatch; other destinations may take a little longer. We will email you the tracking number. In any case, delivery will take place within 30 calendar days of purchase at the latest; otherwise you may cancel the order and we will refund what you paid.

Collection at the stall: if you choose this option, you can collect your order at stalls 88 and 105-109 in the Central Market, Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 15:00, with your order number. As the products are perishable, please collect your order within a reasonable time of being notified.

Delivery: the risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or the person you designate, receive the order. Please give a correct address and phone number where delivery can be made during working hours. If the carrier cannot deliver for reasons attributable to you (wrong address, repeated absence or unjustified refusal), the cost of a new delivery or of return to origin will be borne by you.

8. On receiving your order

Check the parcel in the carrier's presence and note any visible damage on the delivery note (knocks, breakage, moisture or signs of opening). If on opening it you find damaged, faulty or wrong products, email info@salazonarte.com with your order number and photos of the parcel and the product. Please tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, so we can claim it with the carrier. This does not limit your legal rights.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your order free of charge as long as it has not left the shop or is not ready for collection, by emailing us with your order number. We will refund you in full.

10. Withdrawal and returns

Fresh, chilled or quickly perishable products (loose olives and pickles, gildas and products made in-house, cured and salted fish) cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal, pursuant to article 103 of the Spanish Consumer Protection Act (TRLGDCU). Long-life packaged products (olive oils, wines, vermouth and sealed preserves) can be returned within 14 calendar days of receipt.

Full conditions, the procedure and the withdrawal form are set out in the Returns policy.

11. Guarantee

We are liable for products being in conformity with the contract, under articles 114 et seq. of the TRLGDCU. If a product is not in conformity (for example, it arrives in poor condition or is not what you ordered), we will replace it or refund you, at no cost to you. As these are foodstuffs, conformity is assessed in light of their best-before or use-by date and correct storage after delivery.

12. Customer service and complaints

For any question, issue or complaint, contact us at info@salazonarte.com, on +34 640 29 92 51 or at the stall. We will reply as soon as possible and in any case within the legal time limit. Official complaint forms are also available at our premises.

13. Liability

SalazonArte is not liable for delays or failures due to force majeure (such as disasters, general strikes or serious transport disruption), or for damage resulting from improper storage of products after delivery. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. Each order is governed by the version published when it was placed.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence shall have jurisdiction, in accordance with consumer protection law. In all other cases, the parties submit to the courts of the city of Valencia.

This English version is provided for information. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
